| Distance from the center of Waikiki - 1 mile Every Tuesday and Friday night there is a fantastic fireworks show over the beach at the Hilton Hawaiian Village, on the western edge of Waikiki. The fireworks can be seen from anywhere along Waikiki beach but we strongly recommend viewing them from the lagoon and beach on the ocean side of the Hilton Hawaiian Village. The lagoon and beach are open to the public and can be easily reached by bicycle. If you are fan of the new version of the TV show Hawaii 5-0, you will be interested to know that the "Shrimp Shack" scenes that often wrap up the episodes are filmed on this beach, next to the parking lot. Head there during the day and you may catch them filming an episode. |
