| Distance from the center of Waikiki - 4.2 miles This beautiful 13.5 acre garden complex is located in the heart of downtown Honolulu and is the oldest botanical garden in Hawaii, with many of the trees being planted as early as 1853. The garden consists of several terraced areas which include palms, aroids, heliconias, gingers, herbs, spices, dyes and poisons, among others. The garden is famous for its extensive collections of orchids as well as its incredible trees, many of the which are officially recognized as exceptional examples by the State of Hawaii. The Garden is open from 9am to 4pm daily and entrance is $5. |
